About this place
Gaia Retreat & Spa has welcomed guests in Brooklet on Bundjalung Country since 2005. Its twenty-five acres in the Byron hinterland include garden paths and spots to sit outside. You can book a multi-night stay or visit the day spa by appointment.
Its treatment menu centres on certified organic skincare formulated and made in the Northern Rivers, featuring native Davidson plum, Kakadu plum, macadamia, and lemon myrtle, alongside naturopathic consultations, somatic breathwork, acupuncture, remedial deep-tissue massage, and hot basalt stone therapy. Retreat cuisine is harvested daily from Gaia's certified organic kitchen gardens and neighbouring Byron Shire growers.
The property reports using rainwater harvesting, greywater filtration and solar power. You can also spend time in the gardens between appointments or during a longer stay. Ask about access to the heated saltwater pool, herbal steam room and lookout lounges when making a day-spa booking. The day spa and overnight stays have different booking options, so check availability with Gaia before planning a visit.
