About Goldfield & Banks
Belgian-French perfumer Dimitri Weber founded Goldfield & Banks in Sydney in 2016. Its perfumes take inspiration from Australian places and native ingredients. Each perfume concentration, crafted at twenty per cent parfum strength or higher, takes its cue from a particular Australian place, using native ingredients alongside familiar perfume notes.
Pacific Rock Moss draws on coastal notes, while Sunset Hour pairs quandong with Western Australian sandalwood. Bohemian Lime uses finger lime, and Southern Bloom features Tasmanian boronia. Each one offers a different place to start if you are curious about the range.
All fragrances are compounded with Australian sandalwood oil grown on sustainably managed plantations in the Kimberley and Wheatbelt regions, blended in Melbourne with pure organic sugarcane alcohol, and left to macerate before bottling. The maker describes its scents as cruelty-free and vegan-friendly, and bottles them in glass. Check the individual fragrance for its full ingredient list. Discovery sample kits allow Australian fragrance lovers to wear-test every native botanical extrait on skin before choosing a full bottle.
